  7. WHAT IS IT?

  10. In a few words, Executive adds a UNIX-like task scheduler to your Amiga
  11. and provides similar services as programs like Job Manager or SPY system.

  13. No similar programs for Amiga have been made before, so you may not exactly
  14. know what Executive is all about, but give it a little time and read the
  15. documentation and you won't regret it!

  19. REQUIREMENTS

  22. Executive requires at least AmigaDos 2.04. Localization will be available
  23. if you're using AmigaDos 2.1 or newer.

  25. MagicUserInterface (MUI) is not required, although some clients use it.
  26. If you don't have MUI or don't want to use it, the programs that use
  27. MUI are also available with standard GadTools interface.

  29. Executive requires approximately 1MB of hard disk space for full
  30. installation.

  34. INSTALLATION

  37. Installation is easy, just click on the Installation icon and Executive
  38. will be installed. The installation is safe, there's no risk of overwriting
  39. any files and you can later uninstall easily by using the uninstallation
  40. script. This will completely remove Executive from your system. If you
  41. abort the installation, files that were installed will be deleted.

  43. All files except a locale catalog are installed to a single directory.
  44.  
  45. I suggest you install Executive in expert user -mode. This will let you
  46. choose from different types of icons and documentation.
  47.  
  48. You really want to use the Installer script and not to try install
  49. Executive manually. If you don't have the standard Amiga Installer-
  50. utility, you can download it from any Aminet site, the file is:
  51. util/misc/Installer-1.25.lzh.
